Whenever I listen to the  Bible I continually struggle with the part where the children of God had to follow certain steps and procedures for atonement.

There were specific directions for atonement of the numerous sins committed. I just could not keep up!!!! The children of Israel also had to do a yearly atonement where only the leader could enter into the Holy of Hollies. A rope was tied onto the leader so that he could be pulled out if things went wrong.

I just thought to myself thank God for Jesus because there would have been no way for me to make it in life following and keeping up with all those rules. Jesus came to set us free from doctrines, traditions, rules and laws.

Thank God for Jesus because I don’t have to bring sparrows, fats, goats, etc. I don’t have to wait for a whole year for the atonement of my sins.

Now I can call on Jesus in my closet or wherever I am and God will save me and help me because I  called on the name of Jesus.

When Jesus died on the cross, the veil of the temple was torn from top to bottom signifying direct access to God. We do not have to follow any rituals before our sins are forgiven. Thank God for Jesus.
